About Lisa Kay Artistry
Lisa Kay Artistry is a family business located in west Tennessee, St. Louis, Missouri and Exeter UK, with each family member, in different locations, helping out with everything from design & manufacture, moderating social media and web design.
We began our business ventures in the summer of 2017, after moving from Indiana to Tennessee, and we love it here! We live on 3 wooded acres with the kindest and most adorable neighbors anyone could hope for. In addition to this Shopify website, we stock a 10x10 vendor booth with more than 500 items in Rachel's Attic, in Milan, Tennessee, we are vendors in curated markets around the area, and we have retail space in three consignment locations!
As a family, we've always been creative. When my husband and I relocated to this area, and made instant friends, we realized the fun they were having in West Tennessee making and selling crafts! This region is not into shopping malls and chain stores; instead, we all love going to festivals and farmers markets to buy from local, small businesses. We had so much fun, we decided to join in. Â
Lisa Kay Artistry started out with farmhouse signs & decor, but quickly transitioned our diverse talents to polymer clay art. While I pick and choose the clay art designs, each one of us helps with graphic design, web tech support, social media moderation, and 3D printing! We all play a part in the success of Lisa Kay Artistry, from art, media and technology, all to create unique, small batch polymer clay earrings, pendants and charms.
Lisa designs cutting and embossing tools, is the graphic designer for our tools and image transfers, and is the artist who makes the polymer clay earrings.
Rich designs and creates all of our displays, and is the technical genius for the mysterious and frightening 3D printer.
Catherine is our website manager, event coordinator, social media manager, graphic designer and artist. When Cat and (my son) Mike visit, they help with weekend festivals and large-scale markets.Â
Rachel, in the UK, helps with social media, helps us communicate with our clients, making them feel loved and making sure we never miss messages! When she ventures "across the pond to visit us," you’ll find her helping at markets and festivals.
We love seeing the clay earrings on our clients, and we constantly pester our clients to post photos! Â
Our designs are so lightweight, only 9 grams on average; that’s 0.3 ounces, about the same as 2 US Quarters. Â
All hooks and studs are stainless steel, hypoallergenic, with a 30 day guarantee to replace the earrings if any reaction were to happen.Â
Every piece is made by hand, with materials purchased from local vendors, from small online sellers, or imported directly from the manufacturer.
Each color is mixed by hand in small batches, conditioned, baked, sanded, drilled and assembled in our home studio. We handle all of our own social media, web design, graphic design, and have added 3D printing to our process.
As with the handmade nature of any time we sell, slight variations may occur, and your item may have slight variations compared to the photo seen on your device.Â
Polymer clay items are flexible to an extent, depending on the content of the piece. Never flex the clay pieces to experiment with the tensile strength (breaking point.) We use professional polymer clay, and craft clay, and sometimes blend the various clay products to get the look we like. Each style of clay is different, and will have a different tensile strength than others.Â
Jewelry findings, necklace chains and charms are 14K or 18K gold, brass plated or stainless steel. Some gold and bright silver findings are anodized over brass or stainless steel, and if tarnished, can be polished with a soft cloth. None of the findings should rust with daily wear. If earrings do get wet, dry with a soft cloth, taking care to ensure the metals are dry, then allow them to air dry thoroughly before storing.Â
Protect your jewelry by storing it properly, not in the bottom of a purse or in a hot or cold car. Â
Most earrings and accessories are ready to ship within 2-3 business days but this may vary due to weekends and holidays.
Occasionally, an item will be out of stock as we do have a physical vendor booth in a local marketplace, and we do vend at regional festivals and markets. In this case, your item will be custom made and shipped within 5 days.
We don’t accept returns or exchanges but feel free to contact me if you have any problem with your order. If it arrives damaged, we will arrange a custom made replacement, or we will replace your purchase with a similar or equal value item.Â
